Nico Young (2019)
A few years ago I googled my own name and found another Nico Young. He was a national cross-country champion at a high school about an hour away from me. He dominated the google search results for the name we shared.
I showed up at his cross-country league finals and set my camera up with all the other sports photographers. He had just set the national three-mile record a few weeks before. I took these photos of him before, during, and after he won the three-mile Varsity race with a time of 14:04.17. I didn’t introduce myself until afterwards.
